I am a Certified Professional Midwife, licensed midwife, instructor and Clinical Mentor Coordinator at Commonsense Childbirth School of Midwifery, lactation counselor (IBCLC candidate), and somatic birth trauma resolution practitioner (IPPD). I have a Bachelors in Art History from the City College of New York, CUNY and an Associates Degree in Midwifery from Southwest Wisconsin Technology.
After the birth of my first child, my life shifted irreversibly in my identity as a mother/care-taker and in listening to the deeper callings of my soul. An undeniable call to step into my role as a healer becoming receptive to the wisdom and medicine within. With deep spiritual conviction and ancestral reverence, I serve families in one of the most transformational thresholds of the continuum of life.
As the great granddaughter of a midwife and guided by the words of my mother and: “Nosotros somos gente humilde”—we are humble people, I aim to honor the wisdom of my lineage. For me, that humility is a powerful principle – every person deserves safety, dignity, autonomy and sacred care in life and in their process of bringing forth life.
I strive to serve and protect the sanctity of birth as a rite of passage while also supporting the next generation of midwives through education, mentorship, and compassionate leadership.
