I am a licensed Certified Professional Midwife and a birth worker for over 40 years. My relationship with the natural world guides my way, teaching me to connect with the elements and generate my voice and actions from deep within, embodying the silence and stillness of presence.
With the heart, mind, and hands of a midwife, I step back with respect for the birth process to unfold, and step in with compassion, skill, and foresight when that unfolding requires assistance.
I acknowledge that providing culturally humble care is integral to creating a kind and loving birth space. I am grateful to serve all families in that light.
I am a proud native of St. Lucia and a New Jersey Licensed Midwife and Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), providing compassionate, culturally responsive care to families throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
My journey into midwifery was shaped by a deep awareness of the maternal health crisis and the need for respectful, evidence-based care; particularly for women and families of color. I completed my midwifery training at Southwest Wisconsin Technical College and am currently a Master of Arts candidate in Maternal–Child Health, continuing my commitment to advocacy and improved maternal outcomes.
In addition to my clinical work, I bring over ten years of experience in community wellness through my work with Eden Lifestyle, a family-run lifestyle center. My approach to care is holistic and relationship-based, integrating evidence-based practice with emotional and cultural support. As part of Omni Community Birth Collective, I am honored to walk alongside families with guidance, advocacy, and steady presence during one of life’s most transformative seasons.
I am a Certified Professional Midwife, licensed midwife, instructor and Clinical Mentor Coordinator at Commonsense Childbirth School of Midwifery, lactation counselor (IBCLC candidate), and somatic birth trauma resolution practitioner (IPPD). I have a Bachelors in Art History from the City College of New York, CUNY and an Associates Degree in Midwifery from Southwest Wisconsin Technology.
After the birth of my first child, my life shifted irreversibly in my identity as a mother/care-taker and in listening to the deeper callings of my soul. An undeniable call to step into my role as a healer becoming receptive to the wisdom and medicine within. With deep spiritual conviction and ancestral reverence, I serve families in one of the most transformational thresholds of the continuum of life.
As the great granddaughter of a midwife and guided by the words of my mother and: “Nosotros somos gente humilde”—we are humble people, I aim to honor the wisdom of my lineage. For me, that humility is a powerful principle – every person deserves safety, dignity, autonomy and sacred care in life and in their process of bringing forth life.
I strive to serve and protect the sanctity of birth as a rite of passage while also supporting the next generation of midwives through education, mentorship, and compassionate leadership.
